Career counselling and assessment helps students to get an overall guidance for their careers and interests as well as help them in identifying their strengths and weaknesses further. .

 

DIFFERENTIAL APPTITUDE TEST (DAT)

 

An aptitude test is an instrument used to determine and measure an individual’s ability to acquire, through future training, some specific set of skills. The Differential Aptitude Test is performed under exam conditions and is strictly timed. All questions have a definite right or wrong answer. The test needs two hours to be administered completely. It consists of six subtests - Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Abstract Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning, Space Relations and Language Use.

 

CAREER DECISION MAKING SYSTEM – REVISED (CDM-R)

 

CDM-R lets students self-assess their interests, abilities and work values, to offer career interest areas students can use to guide their career decision. Choosing careers or further education linked to students’ interests, abilities and values leads to more satisfaction throughout their career.

 

MULTIDIMENSIONAL ASSESSMENT OF PERSONALITY (MAP)

 

This test measures 20 dimensions covering adaptability, achievement, motivation, boldness, competition, enthusiasm, general ability, guilt proneness, imagination, innovation, leadership, maturity, mental health, morality, self-control, sensitivity, shrewdness, suspiciousness, social warmth and tension of normal adult personality.
