Career Tests & Counselling
Career Tests and Counselling at BVerve
Career Counselling is a structured and personalised process that helps students gain clarity about their interests, abilities, personality traits, and career possibilities. At BVerve, our goal is to support students in making informed, confident, and realistic career decisions aligned with their strengths, aspirations, and long-term goals.
Through scientifically designed assessments and expert guidance, career counselling helps students understand what they are good at, what motivates them, and which career pathways are best suited to them—whether they are planning higher education in India or abroad.
Our Career Assessment Tools
We use standardised, internationally recognised assessment tools to provide objective and meaningful insights.
Differential Aptitude Test (DAT)
The Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) is a comprehensive aptitude assessment used to
evaluate a student’s potential to acquire specific skills through future education and training.
- Administered under strict exam conditions
- Time-bound assessment (approximately 2 hours)
- Questions have clear right or wrong answers
- Measures core aptitudes required across academic and professional domains
Subtests include:
- Verbal Reasoning
- Numerical Ability
- Abstract Reasoning
- Mechanical Reasoning
- Spatial Relations
- Language Use
The DAT helps identify academic strengths and learning preferences, making it especially useful for subject selection and career planning.
Career Decision Making System – Revised (CDM-R)
The Career Decision Making System – Revised (CDM-R) enables students to self-assess their interests, abilities, and work values.
- Helps identify broad career interest areas
- Encourages exploration of careers aligned with personal strengths and values
- Supports informed decisions regarding career choices, subject selection, and further education
Research shows that when students choose careers aligned with their interests and values, they experience greater satisfaction and long-term success.
Multidimensional Assessment of Personality (MAP)
The Multidimensional Assessment of Personality (MAP) provides insight into key personality traits that influence academic performance, workplace behaviour, and career success.
This assessment measures 20 dimensions of normal adult personality, including:
- Adaptability
- Achievement motivation
- Boldness and confidence
- Leadership potential
- Innovation and imagination
